Sims 3 latest patch not installing?

So, I went to install the latest Sims 3 patch, but at the last moment it says: "Invalid file found". How do I detect this 'invalid file', and successfully install the new patch?Sims 3 latest patch not installing?
Sometimes, you have to patch manually. You can go to this page and find all the patches that will install to your game without the launcher. It is usually more effective.
