Sims 3 patch question?

I haven't gotten the game yet and I heard that they are already making a patch? Why do they need one? What is wrong?

Almost all games are released imperfect. You just can't catch all the bugs. PC games, in particular, plan on being patched multiple times. Do not fear! You should be more concerned if there are no patches immediately at release. It sounds like reverse-logic but make sure you stay current with OFFICIAL patches (at the the EA game site) and your discomfort should be minimized. :-)
